A new work week is here, and with it an up and down forecast that sees rain chances spike and drop along with temperatures rising and falling.

Patchy sunshine and clear skies early Monday morning will eventually be taken over by clouds by lunch time with scattered showers popping up in the afternoon.

Highs continue to run above normal pushing into the low 80s late in the day Monday, despite a fairly comfortable start to the day.

The showers will increase in coverage through the rest of the night, lasting into Tuesday morning, before coming to an end.

Once the showers move through temperatures will start to drop to their average range of lows in the 50s and highs in the mid 70s, although this cool down will be short lived.

We'll warm up again by the end of the week with more showers possible by the weekend.
