A few showers are moving through Thursday morning, making for a wet commute in some areas, as a front pushes across Acadiana ahead of the weekend.
The showers will be with us through roughly lunchtime before they start to push out to the east, clouds on the other hand will be a little more difficult to get to clear out.
Clouds will mostly be locked in through the rest of the day on Thursday and will linger through the first half of the day on Friday.
This is going to keep temperatures a little more mild for the first half of the day on Thursday with a high in the mid 60s, which we will hit a little early before cooling through the afternoon.
The front will move through mid-day which means that the temperatures will slowly fall through the afternoon, and bottoming out in the mid 40s by early Friday morning.
Winds are going to be picking up late Thursday afternoon and will stay elevated through most of Friday which means the wind chill will be a little lower than the thermometer would indicate.
Since the front is moving through on a Thursday it means that the skies will be clear for the weekend.
