The weekend is in our sights, and while we all stay put as best we can, we'll be getting a little help from the weather in keeping us hanging out in our homes.

Mostly because the weather over the next several days doesn't look overly pleasant, cloudy and soggy as a slow moving front crawls over the area on Friday.

Showers will be scattered through the afternoon on Friday and eventually becoming more widespread through the late night and into Saturday.

Temperatures will take a quick dip for the start of the weekend, with highs on Friday topping out around 81 we'll see a drop of about 10 degrees for the high on Saturday.

This front will move through the area late Friday night, and stall Saturday morning just offshore which will keep showers going in the coastal water ways.

On Sunday that front will move northward again pulling in another round of showers and storms on Sunday and ending our quick cool down.

The extended forecast for next work week looks pretty summer like, not quiet as hot, but the overall pattern looks like a set up we will see in the summer time.
