ACADIA PARISH — Amid the Coronavirus Pandemic, an unprecedented amount of blood drives were forced to cancel resulting in a sharp decline in blood bank inventories.

In order to boost the supply, the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office will host a blood drive on Tuesday, May 12th.

Our Lady of Lourdes will be on hand from 2 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. to take donations.

The drive will take place at the Acadia Parish Sheriff's office building located at 1037 Capitol Ave.

In order to adhere to state social distancing guidelines, all interested donors should make an appointment before attending. Those can be made by calling (337) 280-7322.

Just a reminder, all donors should eat before donating blood and bring a picture I.D.
