Another hot one across Acadiana with isolated storms in the afternoon.

Good Thursday morning everyone! Pretty typical summertime pattern today as highs top out right around 90 degrees.

With high pressure nudging ever so slightly to our east this afternoon, a little more moisture will be able to creep into Acadiana during the afternoon. This should result in at least a few more scattered storms in the afternoon. Similar to yesterday, most of the activity will be along our coastal parishes.

Ridging will then begin to set in across the area as we head into Friday and Saturday which will help to limit our rain chances to 10%.

Father's Day looks pretty summer-ish as highs will be in the lower 90s and rain chances will be at 30% for scattered afternoon storms. Not looking at a washout or anything for Dad, so that's the good news!

A wetter pattern is looking to set up for the beginning of next week as an upper-level trough moves in from the west. This trough, along with afternoon daytime heating, will keep our rain chances elevated through at least Wednesday of next week... Have a great day, y'all!

In the tropics: No new developments expected in at least the next 5 days.
