The end of the work week is fully in sight and conditions couldn't really be better as we get ready for another weekend here in Acadiana.

High pressure will continue to dominate the forecast which will mean skies will stay clear for at least the next several days.

Those clear skies will lead to some cold conditions again Thursday night with mid 30s anticipated through most of Acadiana, areas north of I-10 may once again see freezing.

The cold isn't intense enough to affect the pipes but frost sensitive plants are still going to need some extra care Thursday night.

Plenty of sunshine will be with us on Friday and temperatures are expected to respond nicely getting into the mid 60s with a steady breeze coming in from the west.

We won't be frosty Saturday and Sunday morning and the weekend forecast is expected to remain nice and quiet with the next round of active weather arriving next week.

Severe weather may be possible midweek so keep an eye on the forecast over the next several days as those details begin to emerge.
