Starting Thursday, March 19, all Walmart stores in the United States will adjust operating hours to 7 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. Stores that open later than 7 a.m. will continue their regular hours.

Starting March 24 through April 28, Walmart will offer an hour-long senior shopping event. The event will be held every Tuesday for customers 60 and older and will start one hour before the store opens. Pharmacies and Vision Centers will also be open.

Stores will implement item limitations in certain categories, including paper products, milk, eggs, cleaning supplies, hand sanitizer, water, diapers, wipes, formula, and baby food.

Walmart Auto Care Centers will be temporarily shut down and those employees will focus on stocking and cleaning the store. Vision Centers will remain open, but will offer only essential services. There will be one associate on hand there, while the others assist in other areas of the store.

"We are paying very close attention to our stores and communities and will continue making the necessary changes to help make sure our associates are taken care of and that our customers get what they need," said COO Dacona Smith in a statement on the store's website. "Let's all take care of each other out there."
