Mostly sunny skies to kick off the work week

A brand new work week has arrived here in Acadiana and it looks like it is going to be a quiet week in the weather world, at least that will be the case here in south Louisiana.

There's been an increase in moisture as the tropics in the eastern Gulf of Mexico remains active which is allowing some of the extra moisture to push into the area.

This moisture may have an impact on Tuesday's forecast with a few showers possible and plenty of cloud cover, for Monday though it'll be a warm, sunny day.

While the tropics remain active there aren't any direct impacts to Louisiana with Tropical Storm Eta drifting around Florida, and looks like it will be doing so through the week.

Louisiana's next shot at some cooler air may arrive this weekend with a front moving through, in the mean time little change in the day to day weather this week.
