LAFAYETTE, La. — The Krewe of Rio says they have decided to cancel the annual 2021 Parade that was set to roll Saturday, Feb. 6.
Despite the decision to cancel, they say they refuse to stop celebrating Mardi Gras.
The Krewe of Rio and local partners will be launching something special for Acadiana on January 18th. However, details on what that "something special" is was not provided.
"Get your Purple, Green, and Gold ready because no one can stop the Acadiana Mardi Gras spirit or the Krewe of Rio!" a release states.
More details are expected at a later date.
