LAFAYETTE, La. - A local pastor is asking for help from the community to host a Christmas event for the homeless.

Pastor Lawrence Levy is asking for donations that will be handed out on December 19th at 11:00 am.

Items needed are socks, undergarments, gloves, hygiene products and coats.

Monetary donation are also needed to serve a poboy meal to every person who attends.

"We are asking for donation of any sort that is worthy to be given away and to feed a homeless person will only cost $7," Pastor Levy said. "So we need to try and raise enough as we strive to feed about 200 homeless people that day."

Donations can be dropped off at 212 Delord, Lafayette.
