IBERIA PARISH — On Thursday, May 14th, The Kiwanis Club of New Iberia in partnership with the Disch-Declouet Social Service Center will hold a drive-thru food distribution site starting at 9 a.m.
The "Bags of Hope" event will offer a no-contact distribution for residents.
Groceries will be distributed on the social service center's side entrance on Pershing St. in New Iberia.
Organizers say that drivers should approach on Bank St. heading towards Pershing from the direction of Admiral Doyle Dr.
They should then turn left at Pershing to pull up at the side entrance.
After arriving, drivers are asked to pop their trunks so that volunteers can load groceries into the back of your car.
