In Abbeville, the Vermilion Chamber of Commerce is celebrating 100 years.
The agency hosted its Centennial Celebration and Awards Banquet tonight at Magdalen Place.
Event goers enjoyed dinner and live entertainment.
"I hope everybody leaves tonight with an excitement of Think Vermilion, which is our theme for the year, and definitely an engagement to a centennial year for the Chamber of Commerce. What a wonderful staple to have," said Megan Landry Laland, president of the chamber.
Tonight's event celebrated both the legacy of the Chamber and some of the area's outstanding businesses and individuals through their annual Membership Awards.
The Chamber was established in 1920 and represents members from the communities of Abbeville, Delcambre, Erath, Gueydan, Kaplan, and Maurice.
