Driving through downtown Kaplan, seeing the lights, it's easy to get into the Christmas spirit. But the Kaplan police drive through the town spreading some cheer of their own. Oh, through the neighborhoods they go, wishing everyone good cheer!
"We mostly go through the popular neighborhoods, but we try to go everywhere for the kids so they can hear the songs and see the lights," Police Chief Joshua Hardy said.
He and his officers, along with their families, come to sing and dance. Those who are near, come out to hear.
"Merry Christmas!" they shout to everyone they see.
"A lot of them enjoy it. They like to hear the Christmas spirit going on, we like to show our spirit, we even have units with Christmas lights on them," Hardy said.
Hardy started the caroling event last year, hoping he and his officers can spread the cheer each year.
