A Kaplan man has been arrested for aggravated assault after police say he allegedly made threats to hurt someone with a metal pipe.
Police say they received a call Tuesday night regarding a person apparently threatening to harm someone with a pipe. Officers located the suspect, identified as Brad Abshire, at his residence.
When officers arrived at the home, Abshire allegedly barricaded himself inside his home and refused to obey officers' instructions.
Shortly after, police entered the home and Abshire was taken into custody.
Abshire has been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Disturbing the Peace by using Loud and Vulgar Language, Criminal Trespassing, and three counts of Resisting an Officer with Force or Violence.
Abshire is currently being held at the Kaplan City Jail.
