A Shreveport man was arrested on the Chitimacha Reservation Friday night and charged with his fifth DWI offense.
According to a release from the Chitimacha Tribal Police, an officer patrolling the Reservation observed a vehicle traveling at a high speed. The officer conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver.
The driver is identified as 44-year-old Demone Johnson of Shreveport.
During the traffic stop, the officer discovered Johnson was impaired and he was arrested.
Johnson was transported to the St. Mary Parish jail on charges of Driving While Intoxicated - 5th Offense and Speeding.
His bond is set at $500.
