After a special meeting yesterday, St. Martinville Mayor Melinda Mitchell is opting to use a city vehicle instead of her own car.
Previously, Mitchell has chosen to take an $800 car allowance.
The City Council will discuss the purchase of a new vehicle for Mitchell at Monday night's council meeting.
Last week, we reported that the council tabled a discussion on the mayor's car allowance.
