St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office asking for public's help in locating robbery suspect

The St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a robbery suspect.

According to PIO Major Ginny Higgins, shortly before 10 p.m. on Monday, October 7, deputies responded to a report of an armed robbery at a business in the 2300 block of Cecilia Senior High School Highway.

Following an initial investigation, investigators learned that the armed unknown suspect entered the store as it was closing and proceeded to rob the business of an undetermined amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a black male who was wearing a light blue hoodie, khaki pants, ski mask, and dark gloves.

Following the robbery, the suspect left the store on foot traveling in an unknown direction.
