Breaux Bridge man arrested, another wanted for armed robbery

Quvando Henry, 29, of Breaux Bridge, was arrested on Wednesday, September 4, in reference to an armed robbery that occurred on August 8, 2019.

During the initial investigation, police learned someone was contacted on Facebook Marketplace in reference to a dirt bike he had for sale. The person agreed to meet the potential buyer(s) in the Breaux Bridge area.

Upon meeting with two people, one of them asked to drive the dirt bike. At the same time, the other person produced a handgun and ultimately robbed the victim of several personal items.

The two suspects were identified by investigators as Quvando Henry, 29, of Breaux Bridge and Kelvondrick Zeno, 18, also of Breaux Bridge.

Henry was arrested and booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on charges of Armed Robbery, Simple Possession of Marijuana, Illegal Possession of Stolen Firearms, and Possession of a Firearm/Concealed by a Convicted Felon.

Zeno is currently still wanted on charges for Principal to Armed Robbery.

Quvando Henry's bond has been set at $80,000.00 and he remains incarcerated.

The investigation is ongoing.
