A man wanted for a Port Arthur homicide was arrested in Opelousas Saturday afternoon, according to police.

20-year-old Jovan Neveaux of Port Arthur was taken into custody by Opelousas Police and Jefferson County Sheriff's Deputies on Saturday at a home on W. Grolee St. During the arrest, officers located 2,031 ecstasy pills that belonged to Neveaux.

Neveaux was wanted for a homicide that occurred in Port Arthur in early April during an alleged robbery.

He was booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail on the homicide warrant until an extradition hearing can be held.

Also charged in the investigation was Chante Grogan, 18, also of Port Arthur, for her part in aiding Neveaux avoid arrest, police say.

Grogan was booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail for accessory after the fact to a homicide.
