The St. Landry Parish School Board approved a plan tonight to limit fees at schools across the parish.

The plan calls for elementary fees being capped at $25 a year. Junior high student fees will be capped at $45/year, while high schoolers would have a $50 cap.

Tonight was the final adoption on those fees; the board recommended fees that were then approved by the state, according to The Daily World.

Also approved by the board tonight was Superintendent Patrick Jenkins' evaluation. That evaluation was held earlier this week in executive session. According to a school board member, Jenkins' evaluation was proficient.
