St. Landry Head Start in Opelousas showed some love to its supporters today with an appreciation event.
Children performed today along with students from "The Leader in Me" program.
Director June Inhern, Director of Early Childhood Program, says she's seeing positive results from kids at such a young age.
"Going forward, we are hoping that we continue to raise our test scores. Our scores have been rising this past year. The children are going to be prepared for kindergarten and that is what we're trying to do. We start at birth and we're going all the way through five years old."
