The Opelousas General Health System Foundation is now accepting scholarship applications for the St. Landry Parish citizens.
This scholarship fund may be used for courses to further education in medical fields such as nursing, respiratory therapy, radiologic technology, medical records, medical office assistant, patient care technician and other healthcare related fields as approved by the scholarship committee.
Scholarship funds may be partial or full payment of tuition at Louisiana State University at Alexandria (LSUA), Louisiana State University at Eunice (LSUE), University of Louisiana at Lafayette (ULL) or South Louisiana Community College (SLCC).
The deadline to turn in applications is March 27, 2020. Scholarship information and the application may be obtained at www.opelousasgeneral.com under the heading Foundation.
All scholarships will be awarded in May.
