A fundraiser has been created for the family of an Opelousas woman who lost her home in Thursday night's severe weather.
Mary Pappillion lives on Hall Street in Opelousas and on Thursday, a tree fell on her trailer as a round of severe weather passed through Acadiana. Her trailer has been declared a total loss, her children say.
Pappilion is on a fixed income and doesn't have insurance to repair her home.
