Residents of Eunice Manor Nursing Home were able to celebrate Mother's Day this year with a special parade.

Administrator Nickie Toups says staff has been fighting the battle to prevent COVID-19 from entering the facility, and so far they have been successful. As a result, everyone looked forward to a fun and safe celebration.

Hope Healthcare and Hospice was also at the nursing home, delivering flowers to residents for Mother's Day. The hospice care has been delivering the sweet tokens over the last few days to area nursing homes. They say it's a way to let patients and elderly know they're cared about during these difficult times.

"It's very important. Every year we celebrate with a huge Mother's Day brunch and we usually have 150-22 visitors come out and have brunch with their mom. So next best thing, we'll have a parade," said Toups.
