Volunteers spent time today in Broussard picking up litter and garbage on the side of the city's roads.
The non-profit Parish Proud started a Facebook challenge to get people involved in keeping their neighborhoods clean.
With so many social media challenges out there, one volunteer told us why he decided to accept this one.
"Without as many cars on the road, you really saw the amount of trash that was out there," explained Jay Owen. "So I decided I would get out and pick up a bag of trash everyday. Well, my sister, my niece, and other volunteers that wanted to get out and practice social distancing have come out and help pick up trash."
