The Pet Food Pantry on University Avenue is in need of donations.
The Pantry has a major need for dry cat food, but any and all pet food donations will be accepted.
According to Acadiana Animal Aid, the Pet Food Pantry is an important resource for pet owners on a budget.
"Food is expensive, and they're trying to feed themselves. We're trying to prevent owner surrenders," said Emily Hamner, Secretary of AAA. "We would much rather help you feed your pet than you surrender it to a local rescue or your local animal control."
