Lafayette Police are continuing to investigate several reported vehicle burglaries that are known as "jugging." Officers arrested three people on Friday in connection with these incidents.

19-year-old Octavious Waiters of Texas was arrested and charged with two counts of Simple Burglary and one count of Criminal Conspiracy.

23-year-old Harvey Dawkins, also of Texas, was arrested and charged with Criminal Conspiracy.

Both were transported to the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center for booking.

One juvenile was also arrested for Criminal Conspiracy and Possession of Marijuana.

In October, Lafayette Police warned residents of a recent string of "jugging" burglaries. In a "jugging" incident, the perpetrators watch a victim conduct a transaction at a financial institution and follow them to a second destination. They then break into the victim's vehicle and steal their money.

Lafayette Police say they will continue to investigate the burglaries in an effort to identify suspects responsible for the crimes.
