Healing House-Hope for Grieving Children is welcoming the community to attend their upcoming Fall Open Houses.

Open houses will take place on October 24, November 21, and December 12 from 7:30am – 4:00pm at the agency's new Randon's Place at Healing House located at 160 South Beadle Road in Lafayette.

Staff will be on hand to answer questions about services, provide resources, and educate guests on the structure of the agency’s grief support group programs and community outreach.

Healing House says that Randon's Place, named in memory of Mrs. Randon Costello, is a new, larger facility that has allowed Healing House to double the number of grief support groups that it currently offers.

At 2.5 acres, the property on Beadle Road in Lafayette serves Acadiana with a meditation garden, labyrinth, children's play area and gathering place for grieving families.

Healing House; Hope for Grieving Children provides an atmosphere that allows children ages 4 to 18 to express their grief through interactive play, expressive art work and discussion groups with peers experiencing the same trauma.

The agency says that all services are run by volunteers and are provided free of charge.
