Friends of the Lafayette Public Library is asking the public not to donate books at this time.

Organizers say many people are donating books in the books outside of the library warehouse on Pinhook, but because the warehouse is currently closed to the group, they cannot be brought inside. There is also no staff inside the warehouse, as the library system is currently closed.

Friends of the Library say while it's a great time to go through those old books and decide to donate some, you should wait until the library system is open - they will welcome donations at that time!
