Downtown Rising featuring Cold War Kids, Givers, and DJ Digital, has been rescheduled to November 19, 2020, frontman of Cold War Kids Nathan Willett announced on Wednesday night.
The second annual Downtown Rising was originally scheduled for Thursday, May 28 at Parc International.
Downtown Rising officials state they are aware that plans could change if COVID-19 related gathering restrictions continue in 2020. "We choose to be cautiously optimistic that things will be better towards the end of the year. We hope that rescheduling Downtown Rising gives people something to look forward to and that we can end 2020 on a higher note. If things turn out differently, we will adapt and revise our plans."
The 'Early Bird' time period, when people can purchase a discounted ticket, has been extended until May 28 on www.socialentertainment.net.
Downtown Rising is an annual event produced by Social Entertainment and 1063 Radio Lafayette, that celebrates downtown's growth.
