The new Courtyard by Marriott Lafayette South held their grand opening tonight after being under construction for over a year and a half.
The hotel features 94 rooms and is situated across from Our Lady of Lourdes hospital.
Attendees of today's ceremony were eligible to win one of many door prizes.
Jim Huffman, Vice President, said the hotel's opening is important for the company's relationship with the community.
"it's about a true partnership with the community and creating an environment that's most positive for us from a business standpoint and for our community."
