Downtown Youngsville will soon see new construction as a municipal complex is built to house some of the city's agencies.

According to The Advocate, the complex will be located near the intersection of Lafayette and Iberia streets, and will be home to the Youngsville Police Department, City Hall, and Council Chambers.

Mayor Ken Ritter said of the complex, "The potential for development in this area is just going to be huge."

Construction is expected to begin on the complex this spring and is expected to be completed early 2021. It should cost $5.5 million.
