A Carencro couple is giving back to their community this holiday season.
Michael and Racquel Edmond have been hosting Stocking Stuffer Parties over the last few weeks, with a goal of stuffing 500 stockings with toys for local children.
Parties were held at Luna de Noche and La Pizzeria over the last two weekends, and the toys were distributed to children today at the Carencro Fire House on N. University.
The Christmas in Carencro event was held today from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., where the couple and those in partnership with them distributed toy-stuffed stockings to local children.

Racquel Edmond explained their reason for helping out the community.
"Our foundation is based on 'Once Was' and how we've overcome things through Christ. We've learned that you can't bless people or help people if you don't show them God's love, so extending Christmas gifts is how we chose to do that this time."
