A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 24, for former Governor Kathleen Blanco at St. John's Cathedral in Lafayette.
There will be a public visitation from 8 a.m. - 10 a.m. at Cathedral Hall.
The procession from Cathedral Hall to the Cathedral will begin at 10 a.m. and will travel from the Hall onto St. John Street.
It will end in front of the Cathedral.
At 10:20 a.m., Gov. Blanco's friends and family members will deliver eulogies from the podium inside the Cathedral.
The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m.
A private burial will take place after the funeral.
