A Pregnancy Center and Clinic hosted a block party Saturday to bring awareness to the community about the services they provide.
The eventwas held at the Martin Luther King Center in Lafayette, located at 309 Cora St.
The party was be held from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. and there were giveaways, food, inspirational speakers, and health screenings.
"The goal of this event is to let the community know the various resources that are available for them out there. A Pregnancy Center and Clinic offers other opportunities for mothers who are expecting, or young fathers and mothers who are expecting, to show them that our community has a lot of different resources available to help them and support them," said Courtney Boutte Breaux, volunteer coordinator.
