Social distancing couldn't stop some Jeanerette community members from praying together.
New Chapter Push and several churches hosted a "Pray and Park" event Wednesday night at the King Joseph Recreation Center.
"We came here today to pray not only for the city of Jeanerette, but for all the surrounding areas to let the people know that prayer still works," explained Rev. Wilfred Johnson, pastor of Little Zorah Missionary Baptist Church.
