IBERIA PARISH — Detectives with the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office have arrested one man for the shooting death of Noah Olivier on Wednesday night in the Grand Marais area.
Collin Coco, 29, of Jeanerette, was arrested on Friday evening and charged with one count of Second Degree Murder and two counts of Attempted Second Degree Murder.
IPSO Detectives learned that the victim, 22-year-old Noah Olivier, of Jeanerette, and two other males went to Coco's home on Wednesday night and a verbal argument started between the victim and Coco.
During the argument, Coco pulled out a gun and fired at the victim and two other males, according to police.
Noah Olivier was shot in the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Iberia Parish Coroner's Office.
A second victim was hit in the shoulder and fled the scene. The third male was not injured.
Coco is currently in the Iberia Parish Jail and no bond has been set at this time.
