Calcasieu Parish residents can make appointments to apply for financial assistance for their electricity and gas utility expenses through the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LiHEAP) starting Wednesday, Aug. 7.

LiHEAP helped nearly 5,300 people in 2017 – 2018.

Applications will be reviewed in the order they are received and residents must schedule an appointment with a representative in order to apply for assistance.
