Morse Recreational Festival held this weekend

The Morse Recreational Festival is being held this weekend in the village, and Mayor Ray Richard says the festival will be full of fun activities.

Friday, the event will feature live music and activities; Saturday, there is a car show, a chili cook-off, more live music, and more.

Proceeds from the festival will go towards a new kids park in the village.

Below is a schedule of bands and events:

Friday -
3:45 p.m. - Welcome, Mayor Ray Richard
4 p.m. - 8 p.m. - DJ Wesbound
8 p.m. - 11 p.m. - Rory Suire Band

Saturday -

7:45 p.m. - Welcome, Mayor Ray Richard
8 a.m. - 4 p.m. - Car show (no entry fee)
8 a.m. - 9 a.m. - Registration for chili cook off
12 p.m. - Judging for chili cook off
12 p.m. - 3 p.m. - Kyle Leblanc and Le Fre Re Cadien
3 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. - DJ Wesbound
8 p.m. - 11 p.m. - Louisiana Red

The festival will also feature several local vendors. It is being held at Morse City Hall.
