An armed robbery at Game Stop and a burglary at Double Action bookended a weekend marked by shopliftings at Walmart in Eunice.

At about 9:30 p.m. Friday, a black male armed with a semi-automatic pistol robbed the Game Stop near Walmart, Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said.

After a few minutes, the robber told them to get up and go to the front of the store. The employees got into a room and were able to lock it. The robber demanded they open the door, but they refused and he left the store.

Police got the call about the robbery at 9:46 p.m.

On Monday, Eunice Police began an investigating a burglary at Double Action on Maple Avenue.
