Crowley Police and Acadia Parish Sheriff's Deputies are investigating a shooting Tuesday night that left one person injured.
According to Crowley Police chief Jimmy Broussard, officers responded to a call at Exit 72 in Acadia Parish Tuesday evening. When officers arrived, they found a person in a vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds.
The male, along with a female accompanying him, were able to relay to officers that the shooting occurred in the 1700 block of North Avenue I in Crowley. Police went to the scene and were able to locate multiple casings, said Chief Broussard. The scene was secured and processed by investigators.
The victim was transported to a regional medical facility in stable condition.
Chief Broussard said Crowley Police are investigating leads and conducting interviews. More details will be released as they become available.
