It's a quiet forecast this Wednesday, the last one we may have for a while, promising a full day of sunshine and even some milder temperatures through the afternoon.
Highs are expected to push into the mid 60s, with winds coming out of the south around 5-10 mph which will start to push up the moisture levels in the atmosphere.
Clouds roll in late Wednesday night keeping the lows in the low 50s and signaling the start of a major chance in the weather pattern as we start to wrap up the work week.
Winds will increase along with the cloud cover which will push more moisture and warm Gulf air into the region starting to destabilize the atmosphere.
A major cold front will move through late Friday night/early Saturday morning sparking some severe thunderstorms that could include hail, damaging wind, lightning and even isolated tornadoes.
Make sure you stay tuned to KATC both on-air and online through the rest of the week as we nail down the finer details of this forecast.
