The last round of wet weather will move through Acadiana on Thursday, with widely scattered showers popping up through the middle of the day.

Showers won't be as prevalent as earlier this week but it would still be a good idea to keep an umbrella with you if you'll be out and about.

After an early afternoon flare up of showers and storms the active weather will wind down in the late evening and we'll start to slide into a more typical summer pattern.

There's been a lot of talk this week about some African dust that's going to push into south Louisiana on Friday and linger on into the weekend, and it looks like that dust is still going to be impacting the forecast.

The biggest issue with this dust, outside of the hazy skies, will be those who are very sensitive to respiratory issues as air quality will drop with the extra particles in the atmosphere.

A few showers will be possible on Friday and Saturday but they'll be of the typical pop up variety, as for next week looks like the forecast is settling back down into a more normal summer pattern.
