The Lafayette Police Department responded to the scene of a vehicle crash involving a pedestrian on Sunday, November 13, 2022.
The crash took place in the 1600 block of Bertrand Drive just before 7:00 p.m.
Police said a female pedestrian, identified as 66-year-old Ada Davis of Lafayette, was in the middle of the roadway, when she was hit by a vehicle.
As a result of her injuries from the crash, Davis was pronounced dead at the scene.
Intoxication or impairment is not suspected in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
