The Scott Police Department says that Mills Street and Mills Street bridge over I-10 remains closed.
The closure comes after an 18-wheeler crash in the area on Thursday morning.
Motorists were asked to avoid the area while crews cleaned up the area and remove the 18-wheeler. The roadway will remain closed until inspected by the Department of Transportation and Development, police said Thursday. Barricades are still up as of Friday afternoon. There is no timeline as to when the roadway and bridge will be reopened.

Fire Chief Chad Sonnier told KATC that the driver of the 18-wheeler received minor injuries as a result of the crash on Thursday and was transported to a local hospital.
