The Mills St. Overpass will be closed until further notice due to damage sustained from a traffic crash involving an 18 wheeler on Thursday.
The roadway will remain closed until inspected by the Department of Transportation and Development, according to police.
Barricades will be placed across Mills St. at S. Frontage Rd. and across the roadway in the 800 block of Mills St. (the northern base of the bridge) to stop traffic from crossing the bridge.
Police say anyone caught moving barricades will be cited.
Residents living on Rye Cr., Bermuda Cr., Rice Cr., and Wheat Cr. will be able to access their residential roadways from the north side of the bridge. All other traffic is asked to Detour onto
Renaud Dr. and Ulinor Rd. from the north and S. Frontage Rd. from the south.
Interstate 10 remains open in both directions at this time.
