Man arrested in connection with Harrison Street shooting in Lafayette

A 22-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday in connection with a June 3rd shooting on Harrison Street in Lafayette.

Lafayette Police say that Marlon Woods was arrested at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday by the Western District of Louisiana's US Marshal Violent Offender Task Force. He has been booked on an attempted 2nd Degree Murder change and Illegal use of a dangerous weapon.

On June 3, 2020, Lafayette Police responded to a shooting in the 100 block of Harrison Street. During that shooting, one person received non-life threatening injuries.

That person was treated on scene.

Police say Woods fled the scene prior to officers arrival.
