Lafayette Police Traffic Investigators were on the scene of a major vehicle crash between vehicle and a motorcyclist at the corner of Eraste Landry Road and North Bertrand Drive.
The accident occurred this earlier this evening in which the motorcyclist was traveling westbound on Eraste Landry heading toward North Bertrand Drive when the vehicle turned left in front of him resulting in a head on collision.
The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and the driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries.
Authorities have sectioned off the area and blocked off the intersection.
