Lafayette Police are investigating a shooting incident that left one victim with critical injuries.
Officers responded on Wednesday to a hotel in the 2200 block of NE Evangeline Thruway in reference to an unresponsive individual. Once on scene, police found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. First aid measures were administered by officers until Acadian Ambulance arrived on scene and took over.
The victim was transported to a local hospital and is currently listed in critical condition.
LPD confirmed Wednesday night that a juvenile male suspect has been arrested in connection with the shooting. The names of both the victim and the suspect are not being released at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
