A Lafayette medical marijuana pharmacy is set to open next week following the clearance of the first batch of the product in the state.
That first batch of medical marijuana is expected to be available to licensed medical marijuana pharmacies early next week. The Apothecary Shoppe, one of the nine pharmacies authorized to sell the product by the Louisiana State Board of Pharmacy, is set to open its doors on August 7, 2019. The business says they are Acadiana’s first and only medical marijuana pharmacy.

The Apothecary Shoppe says it has been working with local physicians to pre-input information and recommendations for patients that have already been evaluated by a physician and obtained a valid medical marijuana recommendation.
The business is located at 620 Guilbeau Road, Suite A in Lafayette. Business hours will be Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
All pharmacy visitors must be a patient with a medical marijuana recommendation, or their authorized caregiver or family member, before admitted into the main dispensing area.
